Jane Peterson – Dental Hygiene Diploma 1995
GDC Number: 4846
Jane qualified as a Dental Health Educator in 1989 before obtaining the Dental Hygiene Diploma at Eastman Dental Hospital, London in 1995. She has worked solely in a specialist periodontal practice for the past 8 years.
Jane’s passion for her profession has led her to set up a local study group for dental hygienists (2007 – 2011) featuring specialist speakers.
Since compulsory CPD in 2008, Jane has become more involved in education and is currently the Chairperson of the British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapists Southern Regional Group.
She completed a BSc degree in Oral Health Promotion in August 2014 that encouraged her to reflect on oral health status and develop preventive strategies for all, not just those who visit the practice. This has inspired her to seek to improve oral health education for carers in nursing and residential homes in order to benefit residents.
Susan Tribe – Cert in Dental Hygiene 1984
GDC Number: 2783
Susan qualified from Bristol Dental School in 1984 and early in her career she was heavily involved in teaching hygiene students. This led to her gaining a City & Guilds education teaching certificate in 1986.
Over the next thirty years Susan gained considerable hygiene experience both in general practice and hospitals. She is a member of the BSDHT and attends CPD courses on a regular basis. She also gives fun hygiene talks at local schools, and Brownie and Scout groups.
Susan has been part of our team since 2013 and is committed to preventative care. She is an enthusiastic, empathic practitioner who is dedicated to her patients.
As her three children are now all grown up, Susan is part of the WVS helping with transport and cooking at the Thursday lunch club. Her hobbies include duplicate bridge (Waterlooville Champion 2014), tennis and walking her dog on the Downs.

Dawn cares greatly about her patients and enjoys putting them at ease. She believes that every patient should leave the practice with a smile.

Jan and Janet are the friendly faces who will welcome you to our practice.
Jan joined the team in 1996, having previously worked as a ledger clerk and administrator. Her organization skills are second to none and she constantly strives to find solutions to life’s little problems.
Janet has been been a dental receptionist for three years and has over ten years retail experience. Working in ladies fashion gave her the opportunity to meet all kinds of people, many of whom became good friends who would often just pop in the shop for a chat!
When not at work, she loves pottering in the garden & spending time with her two grown up daughters and two-year old grandson.
Both ‘girls’ pride themselves in going ‘above and beyond’ their official receptionist duties, meaning they are well liked and appreciated by our patients.
