Prosthodontic Referrals
Prosthodontics encompasses a broad spectrum of treatments and specialisms as it centres on rebuilding natural teeth and restoring missing teeth. It covers restorative and cosmetic treatment from composite bonding, veneers and crowns to full mouth reconstructions using implants and prostheses. For any treatments that involve major changes to dentition, we always strongly recommend seeking advice and guidance from a specialist prosthodontist to ensure the patient receives the very best advice and treatment.
At The Dental and Implant Clinic Southbourne, we offer referrals for prosthodontics. Our prosthodontist, Jonathan Murphy, has in-depth experience in restoring smiles in both appearance and functionality. Qualifying from Guy’s Hospital in 1998, he has since then completed several years of specialist training, gaining recognition by the GDC as a Specialist in Prosthodontics. He has taught for many years at Guy’s as well as working as a specialist at two implant centres, helping to restore over a thousand implants a year. He has thorough knowledge of restoring implants from single crowns to All-on-4s. His expertise and experience make him best suited carry out and assist with more complex restorative cases.
We are able to accept referrals for many different treatments, including:
- Dental implants – fixed and removable
- Restorative Dentistry – crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays
- Aesthetic Dentistry – composite bonding, veneers, tooth whitening, internal bleaching
- Complete and partial dentures
- Treatment for sleep apnoea and snoring
- Treatment for TMD and bruxism
